Kewaunee County is home to many unexpected arts and cultural amenities with a rich cultural heritage, burgeoning art scene, and the perfect backdrop for theater and music events.
The Growing Art Scene in Kewaunee County
In recent years, the arts movement has grown in the area with the addition of new galleries, First Fridays in Algoma, and increased interest in class offerings at several venues including the Kewaunee Artisan Center, Algoma Atelier of Sculpture & Art, Yonder, and Clay on Steele.
Outdoor art is also very popular with the Kewaunee Art Walk and banners, Algoma's Walldog murals as well as some new additions and for those who enjoy a drive, the barn quilts.
The Performing Arts Scene
Outdoor concerts are offered each summer in Luxemburg, Kewaunee, and Algoma, as well as several wineries in the county.
Community venues such as the Algoma Performing Arts Center in Algoma, Heritage Farm in Kewaunee, The Forst Inn in Tisch Mills, and the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds in Luxemburg host a wide variety of theater or music productions - something for everyone.
